Moonshadows was originally a cafe called Big Rock Cafe which was built in 1949 and owned by Art Jones. There was a Shell gas station next door with the old fashion gas pumps that had a considerable amount of character. They were the kind that had the white glass shell scallop, that lit up with the red word that said “shell” on it.  That gas station is now the parking lot of Moonshadows, which was built in 1966.
